Therapy and Coaching
“Re-examine all that you have been told… dismiss that which insults your soul." -Walt Whitman
One-on-one counseling:
One-on-one counseling can be extremely supportive in your personal growth journey. I offer weekly, 50-minute sessions for deep transformation and long-term healing. Sometimes this may look more like talk therapy, sometimes it may look more like spiritual guidance, psychoeducation, guided embodiment practices, or lifestyle coaching.

* Who I work with: I work with clients who are highly motivated towards therapy and are ready to go deep. I work with folks who are eager to do homework and engage in other practices (mindfulness, embodiment, social justice, etc) outside the therapy to make the most out of therapy. I do not do less than weekly sessions. This is not just something one does for 50 minutes per week; this work is a catalyst for life-wide transformation. If you are ambivalent about therapy, or are not ready to make a big commitment, I am probably not the right therapist for you.

Relationship Counseling:

Navigating relationships can be hard. Relationships are the primary source of what enriches our lives, nourishes us, and promotes growth. Yet they can also be the primary source of insecurity, conflict, and stress in our lives. Usually difficulty arises in our relationships because we care so much. And sometimes, we need outside help to see clearly what is going on, and navigate our way back to a sense of connection, balance, and joy with our partner(s). I am here to help.

I focus on creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment for the members of the relationship to express their authenticity and truth, and be received openly and lovingly. I help clients discover how they can maintain their connection even as they express their differences. Ultimately, this leads to more intimacy than they could have imagined.

I welcome couples of all genders and sexual orientations. As a queer- friendly therapist, I recognize there are many ways to love and play, and healthy relationships can take many forms. I love supporting clients in nontraditional relationship dynamics and configurations. I have moved and worked for years in poly spaces, and am aware of the unique joys and challenges that come with this lifestyle.
In general, I love supporting clients in talking about intimacy and sexuality. And I have unique experience helping couples where one member has sexual trauma.

Together we can work through issues of:
Sexuality and Intimacy
Navigating nonmonogomy
Conflict resolution
Enhanced communication
Shifting dysfunctional relationship patterns towards a healthy dynamic.
Coaching:
I offer coaching sessions for those clients who have a specific goal and want a more structured and targeted approach. This is also an option for those who want to work more short-term.
I bring the same level of training and expertise to both services, however coaching is more solution-oriented, with less focus on processing deep personal material or trauma.
Geography also plays a role. I am only licensed to practice therapy in Montana. However, coaching is available for those clients who live out of state. Feel free to contact me ask ask which is the right modality for you.
Payment:
I accept the following types of insurance for psychotherapy services: Aetna, Allegiance, BlueCross and BlueShield, Cigna, EBMS, First Choice Health, Mountain Health Co-op, PacificSource, and Medicaid

Coaching services are not covered by insurance. Please inquire within re pricing.

I believe that our deepest wounds are the source of our greatest power
Although my practice is centered around helping clients come into their full potential, as a psychotherapist I am able to help you navigate more difficult psychological material as well. In fact, I believe that accessing our greatest power lies in integrating our difficult and painful experiences. Therefore, I very much welcome the "hard stuff."
